Orh Nee Cake (Yam Cake) — a less-sweet take on the Teochew favourite
Orh nee is the Teochew yam paste dessert many Singaporeans grew up with. Our version layers creamy yam paste with light sponge and fresh cream, made less sweet so the yam flavour comes through. Yam is also known as taro, so you may know this as a taro cake.
