Choosing a cake for the first time? Start with your guest count, then compare the cake widths and estimated servings below. This guide covers bento, mini, single-tier and two-tier round cakes.

Bento and mini cake sizes
Both are 4 inches across, but a mini cake is taller than a bento cake.
| Cake | Width | Cake height | Serves about |
|---|---|---|---|
| 4-inch Bento | 4 in / 10 cm | 2 in / 5 cm | 1–2 people |
| 4-inch Mini | 4 in / 10 cm | 4 in / 10 cm | 2–4 people |
Single-tier round cake sizes
A single-tier cake is one cake made with layers of sponge and filling. These estimates apply to LÉLE’s standard round format.
| Cake size | Width across | Serves about |
|---|---|---|
| 6-inch round | 6 in / 15 cm | 6–10 people |
| 8-inch round | 8 in / 20 cm | 15–20 people |
| 10-inch round | 10 in / 25 cm | 30–40 people |
The illustrated standard format is about 4.5 inches / 11 cm high. Actual height varies by design. All metric dimensions are approximate.
Two-tier round cake sizes
A two-tier, or double-tier, cake has a smaller cake stacked on a larger cake. Sizes are shown as bottom tier + top tier.
| Bottom + top | Bottom width | Top width | Serves about |
|---|---|---|---|
| 6 + 4 inches | 6 in / 15 cm | 4 in / 10 cm | 15–20 people |
| 8 + 6 inches | 8 in / 20 cm | 6 in / 15 cm | 30–40 people |
| 10 + 8 inches | 10 in / 25 cm | 8 in / 20 cm | 50–60 people |
These two-tier serving estimates are published for selected LÉLE designs. The final serving guide is confirmed for your chosen design and size.
How to choose your cake size
Compare your guest count with the ranges above. If you prefer generous slices or extra portions, tell us when ordering. Servings are approximate and depend on slice size and cake construction. Tall cakes and other shapes need a serving estimate for the actual design.
