Terms & Conditions
Website, ordering, customised cakes, delivery, collection and service recovery
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern use of our website and purchases from LÉLE Bakery. By submitting and paying for an order, you agree to the version presented at checkout. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under Singapore law.
1. Definitions and eligibility
“Customised Product” means a cake or other product made or altered to a customer’s specifications, including personalised wording, colours, images, shapes, toppers or design elements. “Standard Product” means a listed product without material customisation. “Order Date” means the scheduled delivery or collection date. You must be at least 18 years old, or have the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian, to place an order.
2. Website information and availability
We aim to keep descriptions, images, availability and prices accurate. Minor typographical, technical or display errors may occur. Product colours may vary across screens. We may correct an error before accepting an order and will give you the option to accept the correction or receive a refund if payment was taken for an order we cannot honour as described.
3. Prices, promotions and payment
Prices are in Singapore dollars. GST treatment will be shown as applicable at checkout or on the invoice.
Delivery, specific-time delivery, add-ons and other charges will be displayed or agreed before payment. Free-delivery offers are subject to the stated minimum spend, area, date and delivery-window conditions.
Promotions, credits and discount codes are subject to their stated validity, eligibility and redemption conditions and cannot be exchanged for cash unless required by law.
An order is confirmed only after we accept it and receive full cleared payment. An automated acknowledgement alone does not guarantee acceptance.
If a price or availability error is obvious, we may reject or cancel the affected item and refund the amount paid for it.
4. Product characteristics and design
All customised cakes are finished in buttercream unless we expressly agree otherwise. Fondant may be used for selected decorative elements or toppers.
Handmade products will naturally vary. Reference images communicate the requested style; they are not a promise of an exact replica. We may adapt proportions, colours, decorations or structure for food safety, stability, availability and artistic execution while preserving the agreed overall concept.
Serving guides are estimates and depend on portion size and cutting method.
Complex logos, photographs or detailed side artwork may require edible printing. We may decline unlawful, unsafe, discriminatory, defamatory or rights-infringing content.
Flowers, toppers, toys, supports and decorations may be non-edible. Remove all non-edible items and internal supports before serving.
5. Customer-supplied material and intellectual property
You confirm that you own or have permission to use and reproduce all names, images, logos, characters, artwork and instructions you submit. You grant us a limited licence to use them solely to quote, design, produce, deliver and document the order. You are responsible for third-party claims arising from material you were not authorised to provide, except to the extent caused by our own breach or misconduct.
6. Changes, cancellations and credits — proposed policy
| [CONFIRM BEFORE PUBLICATION] The timetable below is a recommended operational policy and has not been confirmed by LÉLE Bakery. |
Changes are subject to feasibility, availability, revised pricing and written confirmation. A request is not accepted until we confirm it in writing.
For Customised Products: cancellation more than 7 full calendar days before the Order Date — 100% store credit; 4–7 full calendar days — 50% store credit; 3 or fewer full calendar days — no refund or credit.
For Standard Products: cancellation 5 or more full calendar days before the Order Date — 100% store credit; 3–4 full calendar days — 50% store credit; 2 or fewer full calendar days — no refund or credit.
Approved credits are non-transferable, not redeemable for cash and valid for [CONFIRM: 12 MONTHS] from issue unless stated otherwise.
Direct costs already incurred for special ingredients, purchased toppers, edible prints, courier bookings or commenced work may be deducted where clearly disclosed and legally permitted.
If we cancel because we cannot fulfil the order, you may choose a full refund to the original payment method or, if you prefer, store credit.
This section does not limit remedies available where goods fail to conform to the contract or where Singapore law requires another outcome.
7. Delivery
Our standard delivery windows are 8:00am–12:00pm, 12:00pm–4:00pm, 3:00pm–7:00pm and 4:00pm–8:00pm, subject to availability. A specific-time delivery service costs S$35 unless a different amount is shown and agreed; it is not waived by free-delivery promotions.
Delivery times are estimates unless we expressly accept a specific-time service. Traffic, weather, building access, security and events may affect arrival. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of material delay.
You must provide complete and accurate recipient, contact, access, unit, loading-bay and timing information. Additional costs or redelivery caused by incorrect or incomplete information may be charged after disclosure.
The recipient or authorised person must be contactable and available throughout the delivery window. Delivery is completed when the order is handed to the recipient or an authorised person, or left at a location expressly authorised by you.
If nobody can receive the order, we may wait for a reasonable period, attempt redelivery at additional cost, return it for collection where feasible, or dispose of it where food safety requires. Perishable products and delivery charges are not refundable where failure results from recipient unavailability or inaccurate customer information.
Inspect the order promptly at handover. Where safe and practical, photograph visible damage and contact us immediately so we can assess and offer an appropriate remedy.
8. Self-collection
Self-collection is available only at our designated Ang Mo Kio collection point during the confirmed collection period. The collector should quote the order number and inspect the order before leaving. Once collected, safe transport, handling, storage and setup become the customer’s responsibility, except for a defect already present at handover.
9. Food safety, storage, dietary requests and allergens
Keep cakes chilled and follow any product-specific storage and serving instructions. Unless otherwise stated, consume within 2–3 days; sensitive flavours may require same-day or next-day consumption.
LÉLE Bakery is not Halal-certified. Our cakes contain no pork or lard and are alcohol-free unless a product description expressly states otherwise.
Our kitchen handles common allergens, which may include gluten/wheat, eggs, milk/dairy, soy, peanuts and tree nuts. We cannot guarantee an allergen-free product or environment unless expressly agreed in writing. Customers with serious allergies should contact us before ordering and should not rely solely on a product name or image.
Dietary and allergy information supplied by you must be complete and accurate. We may decline a request that we cannot fulfil safely.
10. TikTok, marketplaces and third-party channels
TikTok orders are limited to Standard Products unless we expressly state otherwise. Orders placed through TikTok Shop or another marketplace are also subject to that platform’s mandatory terms, payment, cancellation, dispute and refund processes. Where platform rules conflict with these Terms, the platform rules govern that transaction to the extent required.
11. Complaints, defects and remedies
Contact us as soon as reasonably possible with the order number, description of the issue and clear photographs where relevant. Keep the product safely stored while we assess it. Depending on the circumstances, available evidence, portion affected and applicable law, an appropriate remedy may include correction before the event, replacement, partial or full refund, or store credit. We may request return of the affected portion where reasonable and safe. Personal preference, minor handmade variation or a difference from an unconfirmed reference is not by itself a defect.
12. Events beyond reasonable control
We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by events reasonably beyond our control, such as severe weather, major traffic disruption, building closure, power or equipment failure, supply interruption, epidemic measures or government action. We will take reasonable steps to reduce the impact and will offer an appropriate rescheduling, substitute, credit or refund where required by law and fair in the circumstances.
13. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are responsible only for reasonably foreseeable loss caused by our breach, negligence or misconduct. We are not responsible for loss caused by incorrect customer instructions, improper transport or storage after handover, unauthorised alteration, failure to remove non-edible components, or use inconsistent with our instructions. We do not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or non-excludable consumer rights.
For a business customer, and only where legally permitted, our aggregate liability arising from an affected order will not exceed the amount paid for that order, except where a higher liability cannot lawfully be limited.
14. Website use and intellectual property
Website content, branding, product photographs, text, graphics and designs are owned by or licensed to LÉLE Bakery. You may view and use the website for personal, non-commercial purchasing purposes. You may not scrape, reproduce, sell, modify, republish or commercially exploit content without permission, except as permitted by law. Do not interfere with security, introduce malicious code, misuse accounts or use the website unlawfully.
15. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data and is incorporated into these Terms. By providing a recipient’s details, personalised message, image or other third-party information, you confirm that you are authorised to do so.
16. Notices and electronic communications
We may send order-related notices to the email address, telephone number, messaging account or platform account supplied with the order. You are responsible for keeping those details accurate and monitoring communications. Marketing preferences are handled separately under our Privacy Policy.
17. General legal terms
We may update these Terms prospectively. The version accepted when an order is confirmed governs that order unless both parties agree otherwise or law requires otherwise.
If a provision is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect, and the affected provision will be applied to the maximum extent legally permitted.
A delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver of that right.
These Terms do not give enforcement rights to a person who is not a party, subject to the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 2001.
These Terms and each transaction are governed by Singapore law. The parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts.
